SQUASH AUSTRALIA | Coronavirus Update

RICHARD VAUGHAN | SQUASH AUSTRALIA CEO

Squash Australia is continuing to monitor the ongoing situation regarding the coronavirus / CONVID-19 but based on up to date government advice and the publication of both Federal and Queensland State Health Departments as of today (Thursday 5th March) we will be going ahead with the Oceania Junior Championships, Australian Junior Championships and World Junior Championships which are all planned in the next 6 months. We will also continue to implement a number of measures to minimise the potential risk of the virus on players, officials, volunteers and spectators who attend the events.

The health and wellbeing of those joining us for these events continues to be our primary concern but we continue to look forward to what promises to be three fantastic events on the Gold Coast. Further updates will be available on our website www.Squash.org.au.

For our performance players, their programmes remain unaffected and all players are encouraged to follow and get updates from the Governments Smart Traveller website before they travel – https://www.smartraveller.gov.au/consular-services/subscribe?gclid=Cj0KCQiAwP3yBRCkARIsAABGiPp3g-nt7uW6swOSYMWRyBTUAjLYhL-T5ZrYadZHghafkHQ6kdi3vGEaAowaEALw_wcB.
