Friday 24th, the day before
A lot of the teams and players have arrived now, mainly those from further afield – New Zealand, Australia, Canada, USA, Malaysia, Qatar, Colombia, Egypt to name a few – with most European teams due to arrive today.
Preparations at the Squash Time venue are well advanced – seating is installed on the empty court behind the show court, the screens and all the IT infrastructure is being put in place for the results and streaming service, and of course the players are busy training and getting used to the courts before the action starts on Sunday morning.
The van der Heijden family, owners of Squash Time (more on them in due course) are hard at work – as they have been for many weeks – making sure everything is ready, as are all the WSF and SquashBond representatives and the army of volunteers (yes, more on all of those later too).
We’re building up photos and news of the various team pages – you can view those from the TEAMS menu and page.
For now though, a few more photos of the proceedings so far – there’s plenty more in the gallery …
